We Lived Only for the Music:
Max Lorenz and the Third Reich
by Marc Deaton
January 31-February 1
This one-man show, written by Marc Deaton, stars Deaton as Max Lorenz,
once the crown prince of the German opera world and sometimes referred to as Hitler’s Siegfried.
Max Lorenz defied Hitler and still survived the perils of the Third Reich.
The evening continues with an interview with Marc Deaton and Pem McNerney,
celebrating Marc Deaton’s 40th year in opera.
This concert is also in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
