As we take a breath from the year that was 2021, we at Madison Lyric Stage are proud of all we brought to our community this year.
-
We were one of the few theaters of our size in the state to deliver a summer 2021 season.
-
We invested heavily in an outdoor infrastructure to keep you and our performers safe.
-
Over 1,100 people enjoyed our four productions:
-
A Memory of Truth? by Marc Deaton.
-
The Sun Sits Low, a revue of music by Stephen Sondheim.
-
Mart Crowley’s gay drama The Boys in the Band.
-
The operatic double-bill of Schoenberg’s Erwartung and Puccini’s Suor Angelica.
-
-
We hired over 60 contractors, including performing artists, staff, and crew.
-
We partnered with the community:
-
The Deacon John Grave House – a non-profit museum and our home for the past several years.
-
The New Haven Pride Center – our production of The Boys in the Band raised over $1,600 for the Center’s youth programming.
